Well,
My first song for Lavalamp is finally done. It’s titled “Immigrant” and is a 70’s funk/rock throwback. I will be developing a new web page so that I can put the lyrics and mp3’s online for you guys to check out. I really want the new CD to be good. So, I’ve gone through a bit of a learning curve on how to properly record each instrument and how to properly mix them down. The first song took much longer than the rest. Hopefully, I’ll be able to put one out every two weeks or so. Here are some teaser lyrics for you:
I feel atomic.
Lights In The Room
If I can’t feel what I feel what’s the use in holding on?
Pay My Rent
I can see the way she turns her world around her soul to burn.
Lavalamp
I could be your lover.
Calmly
Xavier smokes a cigarette a lunch every day. Tells himself that everything will be okay.
Xavier
Let the rings of Saturn circle your mind.
Jambalaya
How could certain romance be so deceiving?
Mercutio
I may look like a fool, but I’m leaving here with you.
Good Morning
I was the last child -just a punk in the streets.
Last Child (Aerosmith- 50% sure I’m covering this one.)
I’m here to help you.
Immigrant
I can feel the sun shine on my face.
Cold Burn
I’ll fall right back into your arms.
For Heaven’s Eyes
Sincerely,
Lawtonious “Every great song has a cowbell in it” Funk
