So,
Dr. Cyndi has been out of town off and on the past few weeks. I have developed one small problem. My dog, Madison, is a springer spaniel and the breed gets very attached. So, if Cyndi or I are gone for too long during the day, Madison will rip something up-or worse, crap on the landing. She never destroys anything too precious, but the landing incidents cannot continue.
Well, I was working late the other day and I started to worry about the landing. I thought, “Maybe if I call Madison and yell at her on the answering machine, she won’t defecate in our house . . .no that’ll just scare her and she’ll crap on our new rug.”
Sincerely,
Lawtonious Funk

Awesome, virtual pet behavorial adjustments. I would think that the whole yelling on the answeing machine might freak Maddy out so much that she would not only defecate on the landing but also in other parts of the house.
Give it a shot. Is it going to really get any worse? At least you will have the chance to vent in the process.
