For the Clemson VS Alabama debacle, I decided to try a new beer. Choosing a safe bet, I went with the Samuel Adams Boston Ale, and I have to say, this was an excellent choice. I bought a six pack and drank two that night. I have been savoring the other four over the course of the week, and could not be happier with my decision. This is the kind of beer you have with a good steak. It's heavy and delicious From the Samuel Adams web site:
Samuel Adams® Boston Ale was first brewed to celebrate the opening of our Boston Brewery. Like Samuel Adams Boston Lager®, it was an old family recipe that was rescued by Jim Koch from his father's attic. Samuel Adams® Boston Ale, a Stock Ale, has a complex, caramel malt character balanced with distinct spicy and herbal hop notes. Our proprietary ale yeast imparts a variety of fruit and ester notes in both the nose and flavor which are indicative of the style.
My favorite moment with this beer thus far has been sitting on my back porch, playing guitar, and drinking a cold Ale. This beer is what they are talking about in Beerfest when they say
That brewery turns out 10,000 bottles of beer a day. I take 45 off the assembly line, and I'm the asswhole!
No wait I meant:
I wish it were winter, so we could freeze it into blocks and skate on it, then melt it in the spring and drink it!!
So, I gave old Samuel Adams a chance . . . all of this because of a Samuel Jackson skit . . .

best commercial spoof ever.
I know that you appreciate good beer and thought that you had already joined the Sam Adams bandwagon! The key that I have found to Sam Adams, and any good beer for that matter, is that you let it get to a little below room temperature. That lets the flavors "expand" and you taste everything the beer was meant to be, not just the cold nuttiness. When it comes around I highly recommend the Winter Ale. Drink as directed and repeat. Also, keep an eye out for Magic Hat #9 and Circus Boy.
Had Magic Hat already . . . I'll keep an eye out for Circus Boy
