Internet Policy

So,  my company has a strict internet policy.  We aren’t aloud on the net for any reason other than work except during lunch.  They monitor us and track how much time each of us is online.  Now, they have a program that blocks all non work related sites during work hours.  (excluding lunch.) 

 

Now, this is their right.  They buy the internet, and reading online is the same as walking in with a newspaper and reading it.  I don’t really have a problem with it.  I’m not getting paid to surf.

 

However, one thing annoys me.  If someone sends out a link to something hilarious, I’m that guy.  I’m that guy that gets the joke days later.  Rather than respond days later and look like I’m slow, I just don’t respond, and look like I don’t care. 

 

Anyway, I just got another link.  I can’t wait until lunch to read it!!!
