Midnight Happy/ Lava Lamp

So,

A couple good friends of mine were drinking one night and they came up with an idea for a song. The idea was that is was only 9:30 and they were already buzzing like it was midnight. They felt great and wanted the great midnight happy buzz to be immortalized in a lawtonious funk original. Well, I screwed i up. I kept thinking about the fact that I'm only happy around midnight when other things were going on.

On another note, the title song for my next album, "Lava Lamp," was actually inspired from a night out with my boys at city bar. More imporatantly, at Agent Orange's Bachelor's party.

Heilmann, a good buddy of mine is getting married. We're about to imbark on a once in a lifetime adventure for him that we call the bachelor party. I want this to be so freaking cool I write yet another song.

This time, I want to write a song that suits the man of honor. Ben has always been a quite fan of mine. He encourage me with a few words, and made excellant request for covers. (usually request for covers suck, but benny introduced me to the Blue Dogs and Train.) I want to honor this great man by writing a song that embodies his love of music. I hope to find that inspiration while toasting him.

Ben, You're a great guy, and a good friend. For you, I want to write a song that embodies the idea of "Midnight Happy" and the culture of the Blue Dogs.

Congratulations my brother,

Lawtonious Funk.
