96 Wave Morning Show Song

So,

96 Wave’s (96.1 FM) morning show wants a new theme song to be played at the beginning of each day.  Well, I’m going for it.  I have the instrumentation finished.  So, check back soon for a link to an MP3 of the funky little number I’ve written.  The winner gets to have one of their songs played for a week on the Wave.  Sweet!  The DJs have been listening to songs on the air.  So, I could actually get my music on the air even if my Funky Celebration doesn’t win.  Personally, if I heard my music on the air, I wouldn’t care if the guys were ridiculing it.  It would still be on the freakin’ radio.

You have my gratitude,

Lawtonious Funk

The Jingle, titled, "Celebration," has been finished. It's a funky little number that will be indicative of my next album. My new studio equipment has worked its magic on this song. It doesn't turn me into a better singer (my worst weakness), but It does everything else.

I have to download some kind of software that rips waves into MP3s.
Any suggestions?

I've used WinAmp Pro (around $15) to rip CDs to MP3. I reckon it'll do the same for WAVs. I had some problem with it only putting the vocals on one channel, but it was just a function of my settings I think.

I think WinAmp though just uses the Sonic engine, so you might want to look for that.

BTW, do you have a lyrics page for your CD?

I'll set up a lyrics page. If you go to the music section on willlawton.com, you'll see some quotes from each song, but I'll go ahead and put them all on there when I get a chance.

I use winamp pro as well, works good enough for me. Windows Media Player 10 can also rip MP3s but I haven't used it.
