Golfing

I went golfing this weekend with Jon, my wife’s first cousin.  Jon and I are about on the same level golfing-bad.  Actually, we  hit almost exactly the same drive.  It starts out great.  Then, at the peak height, our drive makes a 90 degree turn to the right and goes a whopping 125-175 yards.  Now, Jon usually hits slightly further than me.  Say about 5 to 10 feet- which meant sometimes he was in front of the tree, and others I was.  We decided to not use the double boogie max and go with our actual scores.  In other words, if it took 10 strokes to get the ball in, you wrote down 10.  I shot an astounding 126.  I did knock 10 strokes off my game in the back 9, though.  I actually made it to the green in two strokes on the last two holes.  I went 1 over on the last hole and stood to make par on 18.  Then, I took 4 puts to finish the round-sh!t.  Well, my JDGA training continues.  I look to have a ‘calibrated’ swing by our next meeting.

Sincerely,

Lawtonious Funk
