Water Water Everywhere And Not A Drop To Drink

Cyndi, Madison, and I went out on the boat yesterday after I figured out that one of my brand new batteries would not hold a charge. It was important that we take the boat out because it has a mixture of good and bad gas. If didn't run the SS Mayday, the gas would surely all go bad by next year, and I would have had a full tank of useless gas. Thinks seemed bleak at first. I almost forgot to put the plug in the boat, but Cyndi did her one job and reminded me. (Mayday was already backed into the water-Yikes!!) At first Mayday would only putter at about 3 nauts. Then, just as I was losing hope, I felt a change in the gal, and she sprang to life. Now, Cyndi and I put in at the Folly Beach Inlet. So, we didn't really know where we could travel. We first went north until we couldn't see if the waterway continued around a bend or not. Then we went south until we came to a point where we could look to the left and see the ocean. This promted us to try north again before we were swept out to sea. We tried to see if the waterway did go around the bend. Well, we went about 50 yards, and I got this funny feeling like should turn around if I ever wanted to get home. Cyndi agreed. We turned around and immediatly could feel the bottom of the motor dragging in sand. Cyndi quickly made the point that we could just use the trolling motor. I quickly shot back that the trolling motor ran on 2 batteries, and we were using the only good one to power the motor. Well, we actually made it out fine. The boat is fine. This is when we decided to go home.

So, why does this matter? It's simple really. I went out in my boat, and I made it back to the dock without something breaking, almost sinking it, or having to repair something later. This would be the first time. I now am brave enought to risk inviting friends out on the SS Mayday.

Yours Truly,

Captain Funk

What the hell is up people I know who own boats? There's always a problem. Congratulations on your round trip, though.

I'm glad I'm broke enough that I can't afford one.

Hell yes the mixed gas trick worked! Go Clemson Engineers. And as for your trip, don't consider it a defeat in any light, at least your boat works, much unlike Larsons floating piece.
